Marco The Soleman
Founder Marco de Rooij began his career in orthopaedic shoe technology as an outsole craftsman at large, leading companies. At the same time, he completed various courses in podology, podoprostural therapy, and orthopaedic shoe technology.
In 1995, Marco started his own practice, which grew within a few years into a multidisciplinary ‘podo-centre’ in the Hoeksche Waard, with branches in several Dutch hospitals. The Soleman went on to become the driving force behind various recognised insole concepts and advanced hardware and software solutions applied worldwide, all with the goal of improving the workflow for healthcare professionals and contributing to better foot care.
Multidisciplinary team
Marco is no longer ‘solo’ either. What started as a one-man operation has grown into a versatile team of professionals, where healthcare expertise, technical innovation, and entrepreneurship come together. This enables us to develop innovative solutions that make a real difference for professionals and their patients worldwide.
